Felt and natural-dye workshop 18th-24th June 2010 and 10th-16th September 2010
A workshop on felt and natural dyes will be held at a beautiful ecological site in Umbria (Italy)
Under personal instruction the creation of felt fabric will be explored, starting from working with very rough material and advancing to highly refined processes (inlaid mosaics). Wool i.a. of the Drenth Heath sheep, biological cotton and silk are the materials used. Not only felting and dyeing will be taught as craft techniques, but also knitting with hand-spun yarns.
Your stay will include daily classes, additional cultural trips, all meals and lodging.
