louise bourgeois

this photo is my favorite of louise by mapplethorpe
louise left today and i wish i had met her.
louise is one of the women i admired and followed.
she was 98... was joyful and creative all the way.
i will aim to do the same....from an older post

these images are so beautiful separating nature elements
the first picture is in the snow
i love the contrast and the project is very inspiring, progressive and intelligent....

ball-detailclay-ball

Rolling Clay
This is a project about how we move through the landscape and what we pick up along the way. I rolled a ball of clay on a one-mile circuit around Carn Llidi. As the ball was rolled pieces of the landscape became embedded in the clay. Twigs, bracken, lichen, stones, horse manure, sand. We walk through the landscape and see all these things and more; the vistas, the colours, the smells, the weather, the feel of the ground all combine to create the experience. The act of rolling a ball of clay through the landscape is to represent that experience.
Moon Jars are a Korean form from the Choson Dynasty (1392-1910) originally made from plain white porcelain. At the time they represented the epitome of austere Confucian taste.

"I follow the logic of colours when I combine places, people and clothes. To me, the most important quality of photography is its capability to convey emotions. I want to start secret love affairs with places. I want to be attracted!” Susanna Majuri
